What is KAP?
Ketamine is a flexible and powerful medicine which, when expertly blended with psychotherapy, can be a profound and life-changing treatment for many. Ketamine is also the best tool at present to learn and practice the principles of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. Join our experienced and seasoned team of ketamine assisted psychotherapy (KAP) practitioners and trainers to develop foundational and experiential skills in this profound modality, and to use KAP as an entranceway into the healing potential of a new wave of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy.
What You Will Learn
Our immersive KAP training blends an online foundational didactic instruction, presented in partnership with Fluence Training, with the heart of our training: a 4-day in-person experiential training with a cohort of clinicians involving dyadic and large and small group work. A collaborative opportunity to learn in dialogue and discussion led by a training team of seasoned KAP clinicians.
An Experiential Training Focused on Group-process
The 4-day experiential training will allow for rich professional and personal learning and connection between the participants, as we create a cohesive and safe container to learn and explore. In addition to preparing participants to begin working with patients integrating KAP into their clinical work, this training will provide a foundation in the preparation, exploration, and integration work inherent in all psychedelic assisted psychotherapies.
The Training Will Include
The self-paced Fluence online KAP training in theory and methodolgy, which offers 5 additional CEUs
Two personal ketamine experiences (one utilizing sublingual lozenge and one using intramuscular injection) dependent on medical approval
Two opportunities to support, guide, and practice KAP, supporting a fellow participant in their personal ketamine journeys
Training and practice in KAP and psychedelic medicine preparation and integration
Guiding clients through non-ordinary states of consciousness
Tools for eliciting transformative sessions
Role of music and playlist creation in KAP
Clinical care of severely depressed and suicidal individuals
Best practices for dosing and routes of administration
Considerations of ethics and diversity within KAP and psychedelic medicine
Discussion of set and setting, ceremony and ritual aspects for KAP
Opportunities to join ongoing supervision group cohorts.
